Questions for Discussion

1. Why do you think God is slow in bringing justice and “The Day of the Lord”?  How does remembering this change how you look at the news and all the tough things happening in the world?
2. Why might we get frustrated with God’s mercy (think of Jonah)?  Why is it that we want mercy for ourselves but are less wanting it for our enemies?  What needs to change in our hearts in regard to this?
3. How might being aware of judgement day change how we live our lives right now?  In what ways is the “imminent” return of Jesus affecting how you live today?
4. What is one thing that God wants you to remember, do or change in response to what you heard today?
